Mozilla Firefox (understood just as Firefox) is a free and open-source web browser developed for Windows, OS X, and Linux, with a mobile version for Android. Features include tabbed browsing, spell checking, incremental find, live bookmarking, Smart Bookmarks, a download manager, private browsing, location-aware browsing (also known as "geolocation") based on a Google service and an integrated search system that uses Google by default in most localizations. Functions can be added through extensions, created by third-party programmers,of which there's an extensive selection, a feature that's attracted many of Firefox's users. Furthermore, Firefox provides an environment for web developers in which they are able to use built-in tools, such as the Error Console or the DOM Inspector, or extensions, for example Firebug. Firefox implements many web standards, including HTML4 (partial HTML5), XML, XHTML, MathML, SVG 1.1 (partial), CSS (with extensions),ECMAScript (JavaScript), DOM, XSLT, XPath, and APNG (Animated PNG) images with alpha transparency. Firefox uses a sandbox security model, and limits scripts from getting info from various other sites based on the same-origin policy. It also provides support for smart cards to web applications, for authentication purposes. It uses SSL/TLS to protect communications with web servers using strong cryptography when using the HTTPS protocol. The freely available HTTPS Everywhere add-on enforces HTTPS, even if a regular HTTP URL is entered. Like many other major internet browsers, Mozilla Firefox has adopted a useful synchronization feature. It's possible for you to synchronize your browsing so you could access your history, passwords, bookmarks and much more on your own desktop computer or mobile browsers. Many themes are available for spicing up your Firefox interface, and you'll be able to organize your tools and most used features as you like in the menu or personal toolbar. Firefox is a perfect browser if you conduct research online. Mozilla has developed virtual sticky notes, a feature unique to Firefox. It's possible for you to add your own notes to specific webpages and access them through the toolbar. You may also access your saved bookmarks, archived browsing history and trapped programs. The Pin as App Tab feature lets you save frequently visited sites, for example Facebook or your web-based e-mail, as icons on the toolbar. This way you can quickly access them without opening a brand new tab. Firefox has integrated private browsing; you can easily enable and disable the private mode, browsing seamlessly in complete secrecy. Firefox is a widely localized web browser.
