Fortnite gets DirectX 12 support

Latest Fortnite update adds performance improvements on Windows thanks to DirectX 12 support

Legendary Games announced that they included Microsoft DirectX 12 for much better efficiency when playing Fortnite on Windows PC. As noted in a blog post, Fortnite will get DirectX 12 support to allow PC players with higher-end GPUs to possibly experience a greater and more consistent frame rate.

At the moment, playing Fortnite on Windows PC requires a GPU capable of running Microsoft DirectX 11. Fortnite Fight Royale update v11.20 will include the capability to run DirectX 12 on Windows PC.

In order to use DirectX 12, you need to alter your Advanced Graphics settings, which can be found in the Video settings.
